Agent memory today is locked in. Mem0 keeps it in its cloud, Zep in a proprietary graph, and Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor each in their own private store. There is no vendor-neutral way to move, back up, or audit what an agent remembers — so switching tools means starting from zero.

memport is the thin open layer between stores — a format, not another backend. Below, the real, shipped memport library runs entirely in your browser: it ports a memory set into a target store and scores exactly how much survived.
